To bring families of two sports together and build commnunity sport capacity in Wynnum, the Federal Government funded this project to home the Wynnum and District Netball Association on the Wynnum Bugs rugby union club site.

A long established association in the heart of Logan, LCNA aims to provide the facilities, coaching and development to further the popularity and recognition of netball in the region.

Status: AFW approved (October 2023), installation to commence early 2024 pending contaminated material disposal permit approval.
To maximise usage on the two rugby fields, new floodlights are to be installed. The design required a lease boundary change, screw pile footing designs that catered to ground conditions, light spill managed to Australian Standards and installation methodology that managed potential landfill gas.

Architecture HDT engaged Projectworq to provide strategic advisory and technical information into a sustainable facilitiess guideline document, requested by Sport NZ. The aim of the document is to support facilitiies planners, designers, clubs and owners/operators make sustainable develeopment decisons regarding new or refurbished/repurposed facilities.
Our role was to apply sustainability knowledge across a broad range of green spaces, covering playgrounds, informal recreation spaces, formal recreation spaces and golf courses. We also provided technical information regarding sustainable accreditations appropriate for these spaces.
